this FAQ claims that "If your website tracks 100k page views per day (3M pages per month), you can expect a DB size of ~ 7Gb after 1 year". As you can see in our attachments we are in pretty similar situation, with 3.5M pages per month.
We are tracking 67 websites since January 2013 and, after 6 months, our DB size amounts to about 14Gb. So, after 1 year, we expect a DB size of ~ 28Gb. How can you explain such a discrepancy?
In the documents in attach you can find a wealth of informations regarding our Piwik environment (DB size, plugins installed, retention policies, monthly statistics, etc.). Other informations about our installation of Piwik are as follows:
- Piwik 1.9.2 release
- Load balanced environment with 2 nodes
- MySql 5.5 Community Edition with InnoDB engine (dedicated server)
- GeoIP (PECL) geolocalization.
